Introduce of Timing Belt Pulley
Timing pulley designed with a pitch mark based on millimetres. In a synchronous drive, a synchronous pulley is fitted with a synchronous belt of the same pitch. Timing pulleys are used in drivelines where the maintenance of speed ratio is an important design consideration. These synchronous belt drive systems are durable, efficient and suitable for many different applications.
Metric pitch timing pulleys have a pitch or pitch measured on a millimeter (mm) basis and a trapezoidal or curvilinear tooth form.
Pitch
Pitch is the distance from the center of one tooth to the center of the adjacent tooth. Pitch options include T Pitch, AT Pitch, GT Pitch, HTD Pitch, and Overtorque Pitch.
T-pitch is a trapezoidal pitch and is available in four sizes: 2.5, 5, 10, and 20 mm.
AT pitch is a curved pitch and comes in three sizes: 5, 10, and 20 mm.
GT pitch is also curved, but in 2, 3, and 5 mm sizes.
HTD is an acronym for High-Torque Drive, also known as Curve Drive. Sizes include 3, 5, 8, 14 and 20 mm. GT and HTD are registered trademarks of Gates Rubber Company.
Super-torque is a metric curve pitch with dimensions ranging from 2 to 14 m
Materials
Metric pitch timing belt pulleys are made of metal, plastic, and combination materials. Factors such as environmental conditions, design horsepower, operating temperature, and cost determine the best material choice.
Typically, metal pulleys are made of aluminum or steel.
Plastic timing belt pulleys are made from acetal, nylon, or polycarbonate materials.
Acetal timing belt pulleys are chemically resistant but melt at relatively low temperatures.
Polycarbonate timing belt pulleys have excellent mechanical properties but are subject to attack by solvents and petrochemicals.
Metric pitch timing belt pulleys using a combination of materials have plastic teeth with metal inserts.

1) Grooves
2) Belt width
3) Length
4) Bore diameter
5) Length through bore
Mounting Options
Many products include hubs that provide a shaft attachment mechanism, such as a set screw or a hub clamping screw.
1) The set screw is tightened directly onto the shaft of the pulley attachment.
2) The hub clamping screw squeezes the inside diameter of the hub to fit snugly against the shaft.
